I don't see how sasuke with 1 MS and only amaterasu would be more useful than 1 MS Kamui which makes obito pretty much almost unbeatable and allows him to be almost anywhere he wants on a whim.

Obito's Kamui served him well, if that was Sasuke with just 1 of his eyes he'd have either Amaterasu, but no control over it, or Enton:Kagutsuchi, which is useless if he can't cast Amaterasu.
Furthermore, did you see the kind of attacks Obito got through? Just one of these landing on a one-eyed MS Sasuke would have ended him.
