Who cares. She's lovely and absolutely hilarious. Love her confidence. Openly taking about her weight unlike her dad. She shot down salad too.

Yeesh I thought I was the only one with this issue.

No clue why Kishi made her so freaking dark, it's almost bothersome. If Oda can properly make light skinned characters so can he. Hell, not even Usopp, the African of the crew is anywhere near that dark.

Actually, she can be in a range of colors.... It may be a shocker but not all mixed children come light skinned and there is a good handful that come out dark as their black parent. Hell, I've seen some blasian couples(Black and Japanese) with the babies looking just as black as the dad.

Not that that isn't possible but it's very rare.

Children usually take after both parents in regards to skin color when they're that radically different, not just one. I don't think it was appropriate for this situation.

actually, it is very much possible. Amerie, Jhene Aiko, & Tyson Beckford are just a few out of a bunch of ppl who come from biracial backgrounds where only one of the parents are black, and they have skin tones that could allow them to pass for being completely black. Having one parent who is black doesn't always mean the offspring's skin tone will be a caramel color. And in all three cases, the other parent was Asian.

It's not rare at all though....

Besides saying it isn't appropriate for this situation is really invalid being that the boy's take their father's skin tone and the girl's take their mother's skin tone with Kishimoto.
