If he doesn't start in 8 gates the duo wins ay is not letting ease on him to let him get anywhere near 7 gates (which I believe is a little bit slower then v2 ay maybe Idk but stronger physicaly) and if push comes to shove onooki can sacrifice ay and do mega jinton and nuke both..m.

Assuming the 8th Gate is restricted, the duo wins.

What do Gai and Ayy start in? That determines how the match goes.

Gai still has the speed advantage, and he has the close combat advantage due to said speed and the added strength that gates give him. Having the striking and movement speed along with the Taijutsu skill to push back a Juubi Jin is good enough a reason to assume that Ay and Onoki will never blitz Gai.

If they try to use their backpack, Gai gets in their face and releases Hirudora like he did to Madara, but this time, his opposition dies a terrible death.

Considering that both parties start in base and Ayy is lighten off the bat, do you still think Gai is faster?

"Everybody starts in base"

So no, Ay isn't lightened off the bat. If Ay goes V2, Gai goes 7G and counters him with ease.

Team2 wins. Yes 7th gated Gai has better striking speed, but i'm personally still not convinced he has the reaction speed to counter V2 Raikage because i view reaction speed differently to most people here and lightened Raikage is even faster. Not to mention other possible combination attacks

Hiru Tora ends them both. Gai wins.

I'm saying Onoki lightens Ayy while Ayy goes V2 and Gai goes 7G. Assuming the kages start next to each other.
