I'm wondering whether any of you asked yourself this. Kishimoto never portrayed or even mentioned a Senju who strayed from their "original" path. We knew that there were Uchiha who could inherit the Will of Fire or Ashura's ambitions regardless of being in the opposite brother's clan (Itachi, Kagami, Shisui). They all showed signs of cooperation and self-sacrifice, something that Hashirama or Naruto exhibited on a daily-basis.

It was pretty obvious that the mindset isn't set in stone to a specific clan. It bugs me that Kishimoto didn't show a Senju who had Uchiha's mindset. A Senju who wanted power and who was only driven by power. A Senju who was driven by Indra's will, if you want. Thoughts?

Who are the "fodders" that got introduced, I'm curious?

You misunderstood. He introduced more Uchiha who are capable. He didn't do it with Senju. But it would be more interesting if he did.

He did, Tobirama and Hashirama :D

He didn't just make up .. well he did make up characters, but you're complaining about that. Look at the senju's sister clan.

They were basically the Jamestown of the NU.

Yeah, close, but that wasn't enough. He never crossed the line, he was just... extremely thorough and cautious.

I'm fairly certain that BZ said he manipulated most of the Indra reincarnations because Indra was innately like that. Ashura was the "good guy" and his will to do good would probably trump any manipulation BZ tried.

Hmm, but some Uchihas obviously trumped BZ's manipulation in reverse, as far as we're talking in general.

I guess his focus was on the Uchiha Curse Hatred. In a nutshell, their philosophy "Curse Hatred" drove deeper than the Senju's "Will of Fire". It would be easier for some such as an Uchiha to break from the path than it would a Senju.

But it breaks the balance. If an Uchiha could inherit a Senju's mindset, then an a Senju could inherit Uchiha's, in my pov.

He crossed the line he was spying and made them try a coup d'etat.

He didn't make them do anything. He was suspicious of them and he was right to be.

What do you mean?

I mean that the same could be said for Uchihas. That their way can't be influenced by something that goes beyond the bounds of their clan, but Itachi/Kagami/Shisui still did it. It should've been the same with Senju.

Tsunade's brother. All he wanted was to be Hokage and it got him killed because of his "do it myself" ideology. If he used his teammates to locate danger then maybe he could've avoided the trap. :hmm:
