Learn from Hinata because she has controlled her emotions for many years for Naruto. Where as Danzo would not really teach you. He would only erase your emotions by restricting you by some technique. My question to you is, what would happen in a long run if Danzo is to die? Would you not need to go back to your old habits again?

Well, that is different from actually holding back, considering that she was naturally shy and reserved. I'd probably have ended up bossing her around, lol. Also, not all Root members were like Sai, and even he ended up as a decent person in the end.

Yes, you asked what would have happened if Danzo died. Sai is an example of how one can "recover" from Root even after years of brainwashing.

All of other Root members we've seen weren't as socially clueless as Sai. In fact, they showed more emotions as well.
