Kakuzu wins low-mid diff.
-Kimimaro's attacks aren't even getting past Domu.
-Katon+Fuuton should do heavy damage, and since Gian canonically equals Raikiri, it should run right through Kimimaro's body.
Going under ground? When was this shown he was trapped there he never went himself.
Gian has like seconds of charge time and he has no sensing so he won't know its being charged and while being attacked by other masks he would get stricken down rather easily.
Domu is basically solid carbonate.... Bones that could barely pierce gaara's part one sand aren't doing much.
Only thing I agree with is CM2 durability may tank fuuton... but raiton still wrecks him
-Domu's best feat is tanking Human Boulder and resisting Matatabi's paw swipe. I'm sure that if Kimimaro uses his super calcium-concentrated bone spear it would pierce through.
Kimimaro can't heal. The only time his "wounds" close up are when he pulls bones out of his body. That doesn't give him some Byakugo esque healing ability.-CM2 durability coupled with bone armour should let Kimimaro tank most or all of the attack then whatever danage is done gets healed. Or Kimi just evades by going underground.
This whole plan is circumvented by the fact that Kakuzu can merge with his masks, thus no blitz will occur.-Gian would kill Kimimaro but it has a prep time and was only used at short range so Kimimaro can blitz the mask before it can use Gian
K what I meant by going underground is he sticks a bone underground and has it come up somewhere else and travels through it to escape the attack. So basically bone forest but on a much lesser scale.
Good point but Kimimaro has pretty impressive reactions and none of the masks pose a threat to him except the lighning mask so he can mostly just focus on that one.
I think Kimimaro's strongest bone spear which pierced through Gaara's strongest defense would pierce Domu as well but regardless Kakuzu can't move while using Domu so that leaves him vulnerable to Kimimaro braining him through his eyeballs.
What are said bone attack's feats anyway? Regardless, even if he can't tank it, he can outmaneuver it and skewer him with Gian.

Kimimaro can win if we can get past the massive "what-if" regarding the sharpness of his bones.
I'll play devil's advocate and go against the consensus here and say Kimimaro can possibly pierce Domu. Base Kimimaro's bones withstood Samurai chakra flow, and using that same chakra flow Mifune managed to fend off Chidorigatana, so I don't think it's entirely impossible that Kimimaro can pierce, or at the very least damage Domu, especially with CS1 or CS2 enhancements. I also feel people are fixated on Domu and are largely ignoring Kimimaro's comparably impressive durability, like tanking mineral enhanced sand burials whilst on his death bed, and in addition to that insane durability, Kimimaro has good regeneration.
If Kimimaro can hurt Kakuzu through Domu (which I admit might not be possible), he stands a pretty good chance. Kimimaro will dominate CQC thanks to being faster and having arguably the best Taijutsu style in the manga (only Killer Bee and Drunken Lee have shown comparable finesse). Kakuzu has an advantage in range due to elemental cannons, but anything that can't be dodged will either be outright tanked (especially with CS1 or CS2) or healed from with Kimimaro's Byakugo-like regenerative capabilities.
Overall, I'd give the nod to Kimimaro if he can get past Domu. Otherwise, it will boil down to outlasting one another, and since Kimimaro is healthy and they both have an equal DB stat, it could go down either way. Tough call, honestly.
Normal bones were cutting through chakra enhanced Samurai blades which have more attack power than Spiky Human Boulder. And since metal + chakra is strong enough to pierce the third raikage, then Domu gets easily pierced through =D. How does he outmaneuver Kimimaro? Even if Domu can tank, it leaves Kakuzu immobile so Kimimaro can skewer him through his eyeballs.
Yes he can. Bones lie underneath muscle, skin and other tissue. When he pops out a bone, it pierces through that tissue, then when he removes the bone the tissue repairs itself. Tissue repairing itself = healing. Never compared it to Byakogou, which is regeneration.
Sawarabi no mae + tessenka no mae means he can travel underground through his bones to reach the mask before Gian is used. Matter of fact, Kimimaro can jump to avoid it.
BTW Kimimaro doesn't necessarily win but I think he has his chances.

Read Zexion's post, and yes, that would be regeneration, but that's not what I meant. I meant, it's not like Byakugo in the sense that it heals the user, cause it doesn't.Bones lie underneath muscle, skin and other tissue.
