Why did Obito have to be that good?

When I first saw kakashis WW3 flashback I was really happy to see that there was at least one Uchiha that wasn't a brilliant genius. That all the Uchiha didn't get everything on a silver plate. But apparently he got the most OP sharingan ever and began to troll murder thousands. I liked the fact that we got a humanization of the Uchiha with Obito and Kakashis backstory, but Obito being Tobi kind of ruined that to me.
