Minato doesn't really have the firepower to take on Kabuto, and I felt like SM Naruto wouldn't be enough to support Minato.

kcm minato can use bijuudama rasengan as he can use he bijuudama (which requires the black and white chakra ratio mastery) and rasengan (the required shape manipulation to make a bijuudama in human form). Bijuudama rasengan + FTG > SM Kabuto.
