Yes a good point, but why Kaguya could manipuled him befor he maded Kuro-Zetsu ?
or Madara knowed that Kuro-Zetsu is not his will etc. that Kaguya would take his power and let her do, so that he can defeat her.

His body was weak,old and had no more life in it once he disconnects from the gedo mazo. Plus he didn't have rinn seeing he gave it away nor did he awaken the third eye.
Kuro-Zetsu probably waited for Madara to be in his prime and awakened the third eye.
