Doesn't it bother anyone that itachi chose to use tsukoyomi on Kakashi? Could of used that time to tell him the truth or use a lesser jutsu that A) doesn't make him go blind sooner B) make naruto AIDS come on faster C)cripple an ally that kisame could've taken out during the process

-Kakashi isn't going to believe a random missing-nin who has no way of proving the truth if he were to tell him in that instant with Tsukiyomi. Especially when that missing-nin is an S-Rank criminal in a shady organization and is known for murdering a clan. The world looks at Itachi like he's a psycho, if he were to say it, most if not all would not believe him.

-As for the second part: He wanted to get Kakashi to stop talking. He warned Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai twice. They would not leave them alone. He wanted the conflict to stop so he could leave. Even with the Tsukiyomi he used, Kakashi still talked for a few more moments. If that had been a lesser jutsu, it wouldn't have immobilized Kakashi so that Itachi could make an excuse and leave. That and he didn't want to physically hurt him. Even Kakashi was wondering why Itachi didn't just kill him, considering that he could have quite easily if he wanted to. Also, Itachi doesn't have AIDS and his illness is unknown, it resembles Tuberculosis, but in reality it's just plot. Why would Itachi want to use a lesser jutsu, if that means that he would have to physically hurt his opponent?

ot: Hashirama is done if he's caught in Tsukiyomi. But he won't get caught, he's been fighting Uchiha for years and knows better than to look into their eyes.

If it's any other type that's not MS, he can just disrupt his chakra and break it. His chakra levels are around BM Naruto's and actually a little above that.

its quite weird to see Madara not use genjutsu on Hashirama. But then again the senju were skilled in all the things.. so i assume they had a counter to uchiha genjutsu.

Well, that's true. But then again, Madara rarely uses genjutsu, he only used it once on A during the war. He prefers to actually hurt his opponent physically. That's just his style I guess. :/ Maybe that's why Hashirama looked him in the eye, he knows his level of genjutsu won't work on him, or that he just won't use any.
