Alright I guess Kitkat Bar- or I mean, "Katkot" didn't explain this well enough so I guess I'll clear it up for u guys.

Even if Team 7 wasn't there at Zabuza and Kakashi's first fight, it would have made no difference. There was no way Kakashi was getting around Zabuza's Water Clones hidden in the mist and I'll explain why.

We saw what happened when Kakashi and Zabuza fought alone in their second fight. Kakashi summoned his Ninken to track Zabuza down right? But here's my question, what would have happened if the blood that was on Zabuza's blade was on the blade of a Water Clone? If it was a Water Clone, then the Ninken would have tracked and held Zabuza's Water Clone while the real Zabuza could have got behind Kakashi, swing his sword and again get Kakashi in his Water Prison.

The only reason why Zabuza didn't use Water Clones against his and Kakashi's 1 v 1 fight was because they already failed to give him the win in their first fight, thus he thought they wouldn't give him the win in their second fight.

In conclusion, we saw that Kakashi when faced off against Zabuza alone used his Ninken their second fight 1 v 1, which is not debatable. We also know that Zabuza used Water Clones their first fight and the only reason he didn't use them the second fight against Kakashi 1 v 1 is because he didn't win the first time and was overconfident and felt he didn't need them because Kakashi's Sharingan was useless. Thus, if Kakashi and Zabuza faced off the first time without the rest of Team 7, Zabuza's Water Clone would cut KaKashi and Kakashi's Ninken would track the clone. When the Ninken catch the clone and Kakashi will be off guard, Zabuza will get behind him and same thing happens, Water Clone feint then Water Prison.

This should be common sense

Nice analysis and I should admit that ,Your explanation is better than me shaneyyyy ..

I really find hard time trying to convince members about zabuza level which I believe he's somehow between high jounin and low kage level.

They always trying hard to underrate zabuza in purpose so they can make me feel mad but I will let you know that's I always will be the no.1 zabuza fan in NB

Use any excuse you want , but zabuza actually did win the first encounter. The water prison was the end of it.

Zabuza cannonically beat part 1 Kakashi in their first fight.

I suppose Zabuza lured him in to attacking by making it seem like he was going after team 7 and Tazuna. But Zabuza appeared stronger in that fight imo.

Then again, Kakashi won when it was a 1v1 on the bridge, but he was more prepped that time.
