Women have a better chance now, but itachi's still and was always the biggest threat. Removing obito and not him doesn't change anything. Itachi basically sits on a sand cloud and snipes the females with 3t genjutsu then gaara sand funerals.
3t genjutsu -> Sand funeral -> Repeat. Nobody can save them because they're being killed and defended by sand and shuriken. And, none of them can stop the genjutsu because it will happen unless your eyes are closed.
In fact, I dare say, Itachi and gaara solo. Gaara makes a sand dome in the sky and leaves a little opening for him and itachi. With sand sensing, no one can sneak up on them. They can both send out shadow/sand clones to harass team 2 since the only person who can fly is konan and she's weak to genjutsu. Anyone who comes in close gets paralyzed by genjutsu then killed. Anyone standing on the ground gets crushed. Anyone who's too stubborn to go down by those 2 gets shat on by amaterasu/totsuka/magatama/sand tsunami.
