this guy at age of 13 massacred a whole clan and at 7 had an IQ of a hokage,people don't seem to realise his strength anymore.

It is obviously clear he was holding back and here is the proof

-he wanted to see if Sasuke could one day stop Obito (at that time everyone thought it was Madara)
-he wanted to kill Orochimaru
-give Sasuke the MS
-he had a illness
-zetsu made it clear that Itachi was not fighting at his best.

against Kabuto he also wasn't at 100%
-He was an Edo-tensei (which means his strength wasn't in his prime state)
-he couldn't kill Kabuto
-he had to make sure Sasuke is safe (in other words Sasuke was in the way)

And let us not forget about the beginning of Naruto were he had to fight Kakashi,Naruto,that old woman and Sakura
at 30% of his power people 30%

-and he still made naruto and Kakashi his personal BIthes.......-

Madara would have a hard time fighting Itachi because this guy has everything he needs to give Madara a run for

This. And I think most of the dislike towards Itachi is because of his fans, we know Itachi is strong. It just gets annoying when people have to go all religious about him.
