Madara makes Obito look like a joke

Obito got all that development because he went down first. Madara is barely starting on his own arc and has shown richer background that gives him much more justified reasons to do what he is doing now than Obito. Obito's turn to dark side was rushed and left a bad taste to Naruto manga that last year's arc was dubbed worst Naruto arc of the series.

Madara has had months of panel time and he's been too busy using it stabbing people and laughing like a maniac. Hm. Real deep.

Obito was interesting before the flashbacks started and hell, even before the mask came off. We've SEEN Madara's backstory. We saw it through Hashirama's and through Obito's. It's boring. There's no fuel to use.

Wow and there was an official worst arc contest? Wonder why I didn't get an invite. And I don't really care what people think of the arc anyway, the arc sucked yeah but that was because the pacing and the fanwanking wars of Tobirama/Minato/Naru/Sasu sucked. Nothing happened but the only redeeming feature was Obito himself. Plus the audience of this manga are predominantly DBZ powertards who like flashy lights and OP powers > character depth and development

Those panel time means nothing, the focus was on Obito because it was his arc. And even the flashback of Madara is not the complete story because it was just Hashi's POV.

Where have you been when people where dropping off the manga left and right, or when the fans have been complaining almost every week? Most of those complains was about Obito being preachy instead of doing something. The pacing was terribly bad that the plot barely moved.

Madara managed to quickly overwhelm the Bijuus and capture them, but then again, they were right there in front of him, in the midst of a battle.

Obito had to search for them and had to do it low profile, so it took many years and preprations.

Besides, Madara being even there in this war is pretty much a coincidence, resulting from Kabuto bringing him back to blackmail Obito.

Madara himsef admitted several times that things didn't go as he planned.
