Hello everyone.

So I just watched the 25th episode of AoT and I would lie if I told you I didn't like it. I intended to read the manga from the point on where the anime stoped - just like I did with Naruto back then (which by now I did read from the beginning of course). So to get a brief overview of what the manga would look like I decided to read the chapter the last anime episode personates. And hell I am impressed on how good and detailed the fighting scenes look.

That was basically some background information for you guys. Now my question and the reason why I created this thread is the following:

How huge are the differences (story related) between the anime and the manga?

The reason I ask this is said chapter that I read. In the anime (attention spoilers :p) Right after Annie covers herself with that crystal stuff. You'll see the "conference" of the government's heads and after that Armin and Jean attending their hearings. In the manga the first thing you get to see is that titan behind the wall - which isn't even shown in the anime so far. There are some other small differences in the chapter and I'm a kind of picky person when it's about details but I wouldn't mind that too much. But that real huge distinction kind of bugs me. It messes with my whole intend of going on with the manga from the point the anime ended.

My actual question is should I restart the whole manga from episode/page 1 or will I be fine if I simply continue?

If I had more free time available I would surely reread the whole thing, but as life is harsh in the mountains and I got a freaking 12-hours-a-day-job for the time being I don't know if it's worth rereading everything just now.

I would love to read your opinions and I apologize for taking so long explaining. I basically could have said that in 3 lines straight but I couldn't keep myself from going into detail.

To everyone who actually read thorugh all of this - you have my serious thanks and respect.

Edit: Also can you recommend a good site to read the manga?

The only differences between the two that I've noticed are in the last episode. It is nothing that changes the plot they just make a few small changes to wrap up the season more efficiently. You can probably just pick up in the manga where the anime left off. I think it is chapter 33 but you might want to read from 30 just to see the small things that have changed.

The anime stays loyal to the manga 100% , the only difference is the last 2 episodes where the changed a few things from it to make the clifhanger in the end , so if you plan on reading , start from chapter 33 .

Thank you for the insight. I actually did read from, I believe, 28-33 yesterday and I need to say I totally agree with you. I'll continue from where I stoped yesterday and maybe reread the whole thing when I got more sparetime.

Punk, I'm loving your avatar.

OT: If you're still looking for a site to read it on try mangahere or mangapanda. You just have to search using its Japanese name Shingeki No Kyojin.
I did read some on mangahere yesterday, I'm quite pleased with the site. Thanks for the advice =)
