We have seen many characters gain a moment of willpower or overcome nigh on impossible tasks through remembering their friends or loves or promises.
Naruto and his own will is likely the most well now. His ninja way is to never give up.
Sasuke he is motivated by his brother and his family, and now the village & Itachi's legacy.
Obito, his love for Rin, and the tragedy of her demise. His hate of the world and his hope in changing it.
We have seen these motivations overcome the odds in several situations most recently I wish to discuss Obito's subjugation of the Juubi using Rin as a focus. Obito could be already said to be a Ninja beyond others, had kakashi not had the benefit of Obito's Sharingan there would have been no contest, and then nobody but Madara could likely have faced Obito in the end.
Describing it this way I hope to make apparent that it was Obito's will reinforced by his convictions and his love of Rin that suppressed the Juubi, not his ninja skills. There a likely very few Ninja out there that could have done what he did, even to an incomplete juubi.

My question for you to dicuss: Is Madara included in the number of people with this iron like motivation to overcome any odd?
Does Izuna's death fuel him as much as Obito's tragedy fuels him? And if put in the same position as Obito, with a completed juubi mind you, would he be able to suppress it like Obito?
Tbh I feel like he has put his feelings over Izuna's death to bed.....he managed to coexist with Hashirama and Tobirama for an extended period without going into a mad killing spree. Doesn't sound like a sorrow struck person does it....So if not Izuna's death what does he have left to fuel his will to aid him?
His sheer presence of Ego perhaps =_=?
