Quick question about Logia type DF users.

Can Logia users hit each other with their elements (without the use of Haki)? For example, could Enel zap Smoker or Ace?

It occurred to me when Ace got burned by Akainu (not the fatal blow, when his hand got burned) so I just wanted to clear this up.

Thanks! :win:

Depends on how the elements interact

Fire and Smoke would just go through each other (even if creating more smoke) while something like magma should be a problem for ice no matter if haki is included or not

I'm pretty sure it's how the elements interact which other, fire and magma are completely different, I'm pretty sure akainu stated or said that its fire which burns fire.

Yes but it depends on the elements clashing.

Ace vs Smoker-They'd be evenly match because fire creates smoke.

Ace vs Crocodile-Crocodile would lose because Ace's fire would turn him into glass.

It depends on how two elements stand in relation with one another. Even though Luffy isn't a logia type, his rubber body negated Enel's lightning body and he was able to hit him like he had a physical body, so the same natural principles apply to all logia fruit users. What these principles specifically follow isn't very clear though unless it happens in the manga.

It's physics. You can think of it as Naruto's elemental table.

Katon > Fūton > Raiton > Doton > Suiton > Katon.

Katon > Fūton > Raiton > Doton > Suiton > Katon.

It's more chemistry related than physics.

Sakazuki infused haki in his punch. Just didn't illuminate black like Luffy and Vergos haki.
And i'm not too sure really, I wouldn't think so but could be wrong :p
There is still much we don't know about DFs.

I think its just the elements. Ace managed to block Kuzans attack but couldnt handle Akainu`s. So I think he didnt use haki. But then this means that Akainu had a DF advantage over Kuzan but still barely defeated him. Does that mean Kuzan is better at haki??? I got no clue.

I think its just up to how the elements themselves wld react to one another so its not hitting but rather more manipulating a reactiin btwn 2 natural elements.
I have wondered though about energy based df's that is specifically pika and goro seeing as both users in their respective elemental body wld exist in a more or less similar/same vibrational freaauency wldnt this negate their intangibility to one another and all their attacks become physical as it was when that explosion pushed back Kizaru.
