Why would Kishi have Itachi let him live and force him to have a change of heart unless he will help out in some way later on. He captured Yamato and knows where he his so he may free him from the Uchiha lair and bring him to the battlefield to help. He may even bring Anko along. I don't know what they can do but Kabuto did play a big role in the war and seems to have a lot of Knowledge so maybe he could help. What do you thin are the chances of this happening.
