He hardly got 'Owned' by Hashirama when they fought. Madara countered The true Several thousand hands, he fought on par with taijutus SM Hashirama, the only way I can see Hashirama EVER Beating Rinnegan/Mokuton Madara is if he does this.

Note; This thread is not meant as a challange to other 'Solo kings', I'm just going to explain why and how Uchiha Madara, the legendary Uchiha, is the 'Solo king".

Uchiha Madara was the leader of the Uchiha clan prior to co-founding Konoha with Senju Hashirama, as such, He was the most gifted and battle skilled Uchiha of the time, and thought to be second to only the "God of shinobi", his rival Hashirama. Madara's powers were so legendary that his mere name inspired terror in his foes.
Enough wanking, time to get to the Jutsu.

Madara Uchiha possessed the 2 most powerful Dojutsu, the Eternal Mangekyo sharingan, and the Rinnegan, as such, these eyes along with his Senju DNA allow him to use the following Jutsu.

Amaterasu, the black flames, Tsukuyomi, the dream world and Susano'o, the ethereal warrior along with Izanami and Izanagi. His perfection of the Susano'o is so great that he can manifest a 'Perfect Susano'o'

Also, possessing the Rinnegan, Madara has access to the 5 basic chakra natures, along with this, he has been shown to be proficient in the art of Yin/yang release, going so far as to be able to manifest his will into objects or even a life form, he also has use of all the 6 paths techniques, along with his own unique meteor jutsu. Edo Madara has use of Mokuton thanks to Hashirama's DNA.

Madara is also a master of kenjutsu, having trained with his brother Izuna since they were small children, he is also skilled enough with his Gunbai as to be able to deflect a TBB and even slice through the roots of the Juubi's true form.

Now, to some of his more deadly Jutsu and how they can be used.

Madara can use his Perfect Susano'o as a defensive shield against almost all attacks, including Bijuudama, but it also has un-rivaled attacking power, as it was shown to cut a mountain in 2 with a single slash. This alone is enough to deal with most Shinobi, he is also easily able to out maneuver most opponents with this.

Madara could also use the basic MS tech, such as Amaterasu/Genjutsu.

After implanting Senju Hashirama's DNA, Madara obtained the Mokuton: Kajukai Kōrin, a jutsu that again puts all but the highest level shinobi out of the game, along with this comes the ability to use Mokuton clones, able to fool even Uchiha eyes.

In terms of brute strength, Uchiha Madara is a definite contender for the strongest shinobi in history ( Bar S06P ect ). His Genjutsu is Perfect, his Taijutsu is overwhelming and his Ninjutsu is superior.

he also appears to have Eye gouging skills comparable or superior to Uchiha Itachi, and both use a similar method of eye poking.

But Edo Madara > Edo Hashirama, simple as that. He has Mokuton, he has wood clones, he has Rinnegan techs., Hashirama got NOTHING, and they were so close to being on par at that point.
