How was Jiraiya's SM not perfect?

This was some serious Plot-no-jutsu, for one, he spent HEAPS more time training than Naruto did.
He also had YEARS AND YEARS to perfect it.
He didn't have to factor in the Nine tails chakra aspect, making it instantly 30% easier for him.
His chakra control is SUPERB, he spams Large rasengan with 1 hand, 2 rasengan ect.

Kabuto perfected DSM in less than a year, Naruto did it in a few days. Jiraiya's chakra control > both of them + he had 50+ years to perfect.

Tl;dr-
Jiraiya should have got perfect SM, but didn't so that Naruto's would look better.

well it was to make naruto look good that's for sure but i think he requires ma and pa to remain in SM and got some frog characteristics too in SM so i think that's why it was called well not perfect...

naruto was quicker on the uptake than jiraiya according to fukasaku...jiraiya did'nt train at a stretch for years...he would come between missions to train...also naruto has more chakra than jiraiya

wasn't perfect in the sense of : he can't go into SM himself (needs help), and looked like a frog BUT that doesn't mean that his SM was weak, actually having ma and pa fuse with him turned out to be better lol.

and yah, i don't mind Naruto surpassing Jiraiya's SM at all, he's his student after all (more credit/pride for Jiraiya).

Naruto inherited Jiraiya's will/value's/power and made all of them better. he is on the path of uniting the shinobi world (surpassed Jiraiya at reaching that goal), still has a good heart (like his sensei) and became better at using SM.

the reason he learned it so fast is because of use clones that only way he can learn anything he used what about three clones so really it wasn't that short of time period becausethe use and it was said that he use to go there in between missions he just stay and train untill he learned sage mode and also he didn't like using sage mode because of the appearence (scared the girls away). Thats why J-man's wasn't perfected and naruto's was.
