Using lunar sage mode. Its my strongly held belief hahsirama has solar sage mode so in order for madara to beat obito with his trump card he needs natural energy or sage mode techniques. He has a lot of imagery with the moon so it would be plausible.

Maybe he'll absorb juugo to absorb it then get powered by the moon so he can use sage techniques to beat obito.

The juubi is made of natural energy while sage mode uses senjutsu chakra which means chakra+nature energy. that's probably the reason.

Here's my guess.

1. The Juubi is incomplete

2. It is akin to sneaking past security


We saw the Juubi is simply Haax concentrations of Natural energy, but we.also saw they were flying around in different directions making it a complex and unorganized swirls of energy. In theory you could defeat the Juubi if you just sat there and kept siphoning it's natural energy by taking it for sage mode.

As such, I'm assuming that by attacking with Senjutsu, the body of the Juubi gets tricked into believing the natural energy is simply part of itself swirling around, and does not respond to it....causing the actual ninjutsu existence of the attack to "slip" through damage Obito.

Chakra can neutralize chakra, I don't see how Juubi won't be affected by natural energy. That's like saying a rock can't be broken by another rock because they have the same attributes......
