A lot of people think that peace can be obtained through power/force or love/understanding. I disagree and think that both ways are wrong and can only achieve temporary peace.
Force stops people from fighting for a while but eventually people will rebel and overtake whoever is controlling. An example is all the religious wars that has happened because people force there beliefs on others to gain power and control them.
Love allows people to build connections and become closer with others and understanding others helps to stop fighting
temporarily. However, love also comes with a drawback. Confrontation is inevitable and when someone loves another they'll fight for that person. If that person dies they try to seek revenge because they lost their love and can't understand why someone took their life. Then when all this happens on a wide scale everybody starts fighting for the ones they love and may understand others motives but are still blindsided by their owns ambitions therefore their understanding doesn't affect their fear of losing a loved one/heartbreak so they go primal and fight. Thus peace isn't obtained through love.
So how is peace truly obtained? Annihilation. That's right, the only way peace can obtained is when there is no way for violence, altercations, hatred, love, instinct, war, or beliefs to happen and affect people in any negative and unpeaceful way that will provoke violence of any kind. This lifestyle is impossible to achieve and there will always be rebels and hatred so the only way to stop the cycle is to end the cycle permanently. Through death.
How's this tie into the manga? Obito stands for power but is wrong and won't successfully achieve peace. Naruto, obito's foil, believes in love but is wrong and won't successfully achieve peace because he won't be able to control others into loving everbody else and understanding them. The one person who can achieve true peace and is the successor to the sage of six paths is none other than Sasuke Uchiha. He knows peace can't be obtained through force, which is why he hates konoha, and love doesn't stop war, which he can attest to because his love for itachi and his family caused him to want to avenge them. He now understands he has to annihilate everybody and the entire structure of the past. Meaning ninjustu, chakra, and the shinobi sect.
My theory is he'll become the juubi jinchuriki and set the world ablaze with infinite amaterasu. Burn it down!!!!!!!
