obito used th sages seal and sucked it in without fighting it and lost himself to it

Then going off by your saying the sage's power is not confirmed and he shouldn't be on any top ten lists, and should be considered a mere legend. My guess is he doesn't create techs just performs them? As in, if he does it or creates it he already could do it, but didn't choose to perform it at said time. Meaning it's within his power and once it's done it's created. yes the manga does say that, but it's open for interpertation, and if you think about it makes no sense at all

Sage defeated juubi then became its jin that means either sage alone is equal to juubi or stronger than juubi after becoming its jin he is twice strong.
