The above photo says that ems grants the user a new technique. Itachi already had susanoo so perfect susanoo wouldn't be the answer because its just an upgrade and it wasn't new to itachi. The new technique I believe has to do with the Shinto religion that inspired the other mangekyou sharingan techniques.
As we know amaterasu, tsukiyomi, and susanoo were created by izanagi washing his nose after his sister/wife izanami died. In the naruto manga they were created by creation of all things( which is basicly izanagi/izanami combined with the rinnegan ). Now after looking at this Shinto I discovered another notable figure that hasn't been mentioned and is related to the techniques mentioned above. Its name is sarutahiko okami.
Sarutahiko okami is the god of the earthly Shinto. He's said to be a guardian that descends from the heavens to guard and fight for a cause. I believe this to be the technique granted by the ems and the way it will appear in the manga is by looking like a tengu but being the size of hashiramas Buddha statue. Basicly a huge perfect susanoo but instead of etheral its actually like a giant and solid summon that can be controlled to fight, guard, and destroy.
