Tailed Beasts vs Kages

In all the generation of Kages could all of them.could defeat a tailed beast. Could the 3 Sannin defeat a tailed beast?

it just seems like they perform better when combined with a human (kinda like... they provide the power and the human the brains).

4th Kazekage > 1tails
Mei & Tobimaru > 2tails (Water>Fire)
3rd Raikage > 3 Tails (His armor would pretty much smash through the turtle defenses)

We saw how well Oro did against 4 tailed Naruto. Also Jiraiya managed to seal Naruto in 3 tail mode and was not fighting to kill but had to try to be careful not to hurt Naruto.

Tsunade can smash perfect susanoo so I'm sure she could do damage to at least the 1-5 tails. Also with her healing abilities Jiraiya could go all out and he is strong enough to take Itachi and Kisame.

I think if all 3 sanin fought together at their peak powers including Oro with Senju DNA they could take the tailed beast. If Guy and Kakashi can battle them and survive then the sanin surely can take them on.

Jiraiya and Oro also know seals and have large arsenals of other jutsu. Not to mention they have summons that can help.

Oh and if Oro summons Edos then yea sanin win.
