SO6P will always be a legend in NarutoVerse for below reasons:
1. Saved World from Juubi's wrath by sealing Juubi in himself. Brought peace to the world at constant fighting.
2. Rinneagan Powers.
3. Dividing Juubi's chakra into 9 Tailed Beasts to keep its power in control/check using Izanagi.
4. Founder of Shinobi Practice & Ninjutsu/Genjutsu/Taijutsu.
5. Took right decision at death-bed while choosing his successor as younger brother who preferred LOVE as key to peace.
If Elder brother would have been chosen by SO6P then it would have already been a chaos in world like Madara is doing now.

I really enjoy reading it and finally someone don't understimate Sage of six paths =D=D=D
I could add possibility of Sage of six paths having Sage mode as well, and I believe he was pre Hyuuga/Uzumaki hybrid(He came from uzumaki and Hyuuga clan but while they weren't yet Shinobi clans until Sage of six paths taught them about chakra and then they discovered it and became Shinobi clans. Later Hyuuga awake Byakugan while Uzumaki were talented in Sealing arts;p)
