TwitchReleasesE32013StreamData,MoreUniqueViewersforSonyPressConferenceThanForMicrosoftPressConference

Live streaming video platform Twitch released a nice-looking stat sheet, which details its E3 2013 stream data, and there are some interesting numbers to be found here.

Firstly, during the entirety of E3, Twitch received 2+ million unique viewers on its E3 stream, with 9.4 million unique visitors during E3. 4.3 million of them showed up on June 10, which was full of press conferences from Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, and Sony.

Speaking of the press conferences, here are Twitch’s numbers for each press conference:
  • Microsoft
  • 413,400 unique viewers
  • 152,313 peak concurrents (watching at the same time)
  • 156,000 chat messages
  • EA
  • 241,520 unique viewers
  • 131,380 peak concurrents
  • 80,900 chat messages

  • Ubisoft
  • 232,280 unique viewers
  • 125,016 peak concurrents
  • 79,900 chat messages

  • Sony
  • 430,060 unique viewers
  • 190,975 peak concurrents
  • 200,820 chat messages

I won’t go into the whole Sony/Microsoft debate, but Sony’s press conference got just a few more viewers than Microsoft’s press conference did. There’s not much to read in those numbers, however, seeing as these are only from Twitch, so fight amongst yourselves. You can see the full stream data sheet below.

One of these days, people will realize this stuff is PREFERENCE. Its a CHOICE. They each have advantages and disadvantaged. Just pick one, and be happy. Your life won't end.

Perfectly reasonable. Have fun. Personally, I'm getting the Xbox One. I understand it has flaws and whatnot. Whatever. It'll be a good time, regardless.
