[Discussion] Are all Humans equal, or are some above another?

All humans excel at different things that give them a purpose in life. If they use there potential to go where they want in life, or to be a bum really depends on the person.

whether you excel as a machanic, Mathamatics, or simply you're a labourer. It doesn't matter you excel at your strengths.

Everyone has the potential to be great. When you start thinking you're better then everyone else is when you need a slap in the back of the head and wake up. Everyone has 48 chromosomes and red, and white blood cells.

Just because someone has money or has insanely high intelligence DOES not make you above someone else who is good at fixing engines.

In essence, everyone is born equal, however not everyone has the same opportunities as others. This is because of wealth and where this said person lives. Even when one is born with a disease, they should be treated just as equal as your average joe, since it isn't their fault they were born that way. All in all, even though everyone is different, they should all be treated as an equal human being, nothing less.

Personally, I think people are not equal and should be judged based on their intellectual and emotional traits, examples being wisdom, kindness, generosity, bravery etc. I try people based on their personalities as much as I can, though material things and appearances can often cloud anyone's judgment, including mine.

I also believe that the balance of one's traits also make them higher in my opinion. For example, I think someone is smart but rude or cruel, is lesser to someone who is kind but unintelligent. But then again, there are so many different factors that it is very hard to truly determine the reason behind people's actions.

Someone could be rude because they just lost a loved one, and in that case, it would simply be a sign of human weakness.

Overall, if I can make a fair enough opinion, I could think someone is lesser or greater of a person than someone else.

You must be extra special. I, and most likely the rest of us, only have 46 chromosomes per cell.

Everyone has emotion, let it be pain, sorrow, happyness, joy, hatred, the list goes on and on, therefore it is hard to believe that the individual you speak of is human, and what i have stated does not mean being emotional, you are born with those in some way or another.

My belief:

I believe that all humans are born equal, they all have the potential to be great.

The only point in which I consider someone to be under me is when they waste their potential to be something less than what they can be. i.e your average bum

I see your point. I too believe everyone is equal, all though some try to place themselves above others out of, perhaps, a sense of insecurity? To make themselves feel better? IDK, I just don't like those kind of cocky people. The humble are more admirable. But nonetheless, we are all equals IMO.

Equal in what? Amount of money? Athletic ability? Mental ability? What? Is everyone equal in everything? Well, no, obviously. But, everyone should be treated the same regardless of their ability or belongings, yes.

Of course in treatment and rights, everyone should be equal.


How about the bum that crashed his mom's car, flunked out of college, and is living in the streets against the guy who went against all odds and created a successful career out of borderline nothing?

Would you REALLY put these people on the same level? Are these people equal?
