Clever, clever indeed. But that was for a specific jutsu in which was a challenge to overcome mentally, Gaara is a different story.. I'll start this off easy.

Gaara as he is the host of Shukaku, the One Tailed Beast, he is able to transform into multiple versions of the beast; Gaara would go into his Partial Shukaku Transformation (we'll call it V1):

Gaara's V1 increases his Speed; Sasuke without Sharingan even admitted he wouldn't be able to dodge the attacks without it:

Gaara's V1 increases Strength:

Gaara's V1 increases Endurance/Resistance:

Gaara attacks Sakura with his V1, it's nearly impossible for Sakura to hurt him within this form.

This is true, however, this only proves that base-Sasuke's ability to read movements is insufficient. For this to have an effect on Sakura, Sasuke's base-ability to read movements must be better than Sakura's, which has not been proven.
We do know that Sakura has a history of being able to read movements well:

Chapter 395, page 10.

Sakura was the first to understand Tobi's jutstu. This fares well for her intelligence and ability to analyze her opponents' moves during battle.

She completely pulverizes Sasori's puppet, Hiruko. However, this is not an ordinary puppet. It is the shell of the 3rd kazekage. She completely obliterates his body with one punch.

This manga page does not suggest that v1 gives Gaara enhanced endurance/resistance. Rather, it suggests that fire techniques are ineffective against Gaara's sand. However, that is not a problem for Sakura because she does not possess any fire techniques.

Actualy, that was a million to one chance. It is a well known fact that million to one chances come up 9 times out of 8.

Good counter. Now let's get to the real stuff.

Gaara due Sakura being a close range fighter, and himself being a long ranged would block Sakura's line of sight with Air Sand Protective Wall. This would disable the probability of Sakura blitzing Gaara with any chakra dense punches. :

Once Gaara has blocked Sakura's line of sight, he would take to the skies with Desert Suspension (floating sand) in which he usually does to avoid any direct confrontation from Taijutsu based users:

Once Gaara is within the air (due to his Desert Suspension Jutsu), he would keep his distance, and perform constant Wind Release: Infinite Sand Cloud Great Breakthrough hurling them Sakura's way (remember Gaara is still in Shukaku V1; Speed, and Strength increase) causing her to be buffeted by the sand, and hurt by the assault itself:
