I think part of it comes from how he decided to change his mind about helping out the alliance with the thought of if he can't be beaten...how will they defeat the enemy boss (AKA Obito/Madara).

I call him a troll for that hilarious summon moment: A Giant Clam!!!! Then how he proceeded to say explain that they have to target the clam behind him, but they can't even find him due to the Genjutsu!
