Madara doesn't need a sealing technique to beat him since he has the rinnegan, all he has to do is absorb his soul on the other hand hashirama does need a sealing technique but he obviously has one or more, a legend like him should be able to seal.

Madara is stronger I agree but with all the hype kishi gave hashirama he should be able to put up a fight. Are you trying to say that rock lee or kurama have a better chance at beating madara than hashirama?

Well Hashirama has techniques capable of restraining the Bijuu so those might work. Also, he had an Uzumaki wife so he possibly knows some sealing techs
